The Design Journey…
Whether you’re seeking the perfect engagement ring or transforming your vision into a signature piece, the bespoke process ensures every detail is thoughtfully considered and expertly crafted to create jewellery of exceptional quality and meaning.
The Process
CONSULTATION
Your bespoke journey begins with a complimentary consultation where we’ll explore your vision in detail. I’ll guide you through options for precious metals, gemstones, design elements, and styling to capture your unique story. For engagement rings, we’ll discuss your partner’s style and preferences; for other pieces, we’ll focus on the occasion and your personal aesthetic. Consultations can be held in person or via video call, providing a relaxed environment to share inspirations and ideas without any obligation.
DESIGN APPROVAL
Following our consultation, I’ll create detailed concept sketches and provide a comprehensive quote tailored to your budget. Once you’re pleased with the initial design direction, a £150-£200 design fee secures the creation of photorealistic CAD renderings. These sophisticated 3D visualizations allow you to see your piece from every angle before crafting begins, ensuring the design perfectly captures your vision. Any refinements can be incorporated at this stage to achieve exactly the look you desire.
CREATING YOUR PIECE
This is where exceptional craftsmanship brings your vision to life. With your design approved and 50% deposit received, I’ll source the finest materials specifically for your piece. Using techniques refined over 18 years, your jewellery is meticulously crafted with precision and attention to every detail. Each gemstone is carefully selected and expertly set, every element is perfectly finished, and all pieces receive official hallmarking to certify their quality and authenticity.
YOUR FINISHED PIECE
When your bespoke creation is complete, I’ll send an electronic invoice for the remaining balance. After payment, your new jewellery will be elegantly presented in a custom-designed box worthy of the occasion it celebrates. Your piece will be delivered via secure Royal Mail Special Delivery, or you can arrange to collect it personally. This final moment marks the culmination of our creative journey together—the transformation of your vision into an exquisite piece of fine jewellery to be treasured for generations.

Frequently Asked Questions
What should I expect to invest in a bespoke engagement ring?
The price is governed by the gemstones ordered, the metal chosen and the complexity of the design. I work closely with you to work to a budget you’re happy with, my customers are usually very pleasantly surprised.
How long does the process take from consultation to finished piece?
Most projects typically take between four to eight weeks depending on the complexity of the design. If you have important deadlines please let me know. As you can imagine, Christmas is a particularly busy time and it’s advisable to give me as much notice as possible.
Can you create matching wedding bands?
Absolutely! Creating matching wedding bands that complement your engagement ring is one of the advantages of choosing bespoke. I can design bands that perfectly fit with your existing ring or create a coordinated pair that reflects your relationship.
I'm planning a surprise proposal—how does that work?
Many clients successfully create surprise engagement rings. During our consultation, we’ll discuss your partner’s style preferences, and I can guide you through the process. I can create a beautiful ring based on your guidance, with the option to make minor adjustments after the proposal if needed.
What if I'm not sure exactly what I want yet?
That’s completely normal. Our consultation is designed to explore and refine your ideas. I’ll guide you through options and help you discover what resonates with your style and preferences. The bespoke process is ideal for those who aren’t quite sure what they want yet.
Do you offer lab-created gems and diamonds?
Absolutely! It is getting more and more difficult to see the difference and a lab-created gem can be a great choice, both as a budget choice and for those who prefer a ring with no connection to the mining process. I’m happy to quote for both options.
What if I'm not local to you?
I’m based in Cambridgeshire, but don’t worry if you’re not local, we are fortunate to live in a digital world and most of my meetings are conducted on Zoom, WhatsApp, Messenger, Facetime or via email, whatever is convenient for you.
How is the quality guaranteed?
Yes, I guarantee the workmanship and take responsibility for any structural defects for one year after delivery. All materials (metals, diamonds, and gemstones) are authentic and properly specified in your proposal agreement. Jewellery over £1000 will be dispatched with a receipt, which tells you how much to insure your ring for. If your diamond or gemstone is certified by GIA you will also receive a relevant certificate.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes, I guarantee the workmanship and take responsibility for any structural defects for one year after delivery.
When will I be asked to pay?
Our first consultation and subsequent drawings are free of charge. The “real life” CAD drawing cost £150 – £200 is payable once the design has been agreed. When you are happy with the CAD drawings, the design and materials, I require a 50% deposit to begin the work. The balance is due when your new jewellery is completed. The CAD drawing cost (£150 – £200) will be deducted from the final invoice. Payments can be made via PayPal or bank transfer.
